Thank you for looking over our picture gallery. As the owner of Idaho Seamless Gutter, I have always enjoyed taking pictures. Way back in the day I took a couple of photography classes where we learned to take and develop 35mm film. (I am revealing my old age). I loved it and have loved it ever since. My beautiful wife and I have actually been the photographers at a few weddings. Things have changed since the 35mm days but I still love taking pictures. Especially since we can take pretty dang good pictures just with our phones these days.
When I first started our gutter installation Meridian ID business I really enjoyed capturing a good scenic picture with natural lighting and a gutter. Or a beautiful landscape and a downspout. I never thought I would grow up and be the guy who has 40,000 pictures on his phone of gutters. Gutters and my family are what all of my pictures are of. There is something special about capturing a moment. Landscape pictures are great because you’re capturing a finished product with great lighting. I love putting in a hard day’s work, then capturing the fruit of that hard work with some nice photographs.
These days we have a fantastic gutter team that I get to hang out with everyday. Although I often get too busy, I truly enjoy getting the camera out and trying to capture moments with the team. Maybe it’s one of our veterans teaching a younger guy some of the tricks of the trade. Maybe it’s a lunch break at the back of the trailer with guys laughing or smiling. Maybe it’s a tired look on a face after a long gutter installation Meridian ID day.
So my focus has gone from landscape shots with our logo and our finished work, to candids with our team. Or shots with our team interacting with our clients. A picture can tell a story. And a well done picture can tell a detailed story.
You’ll notice some of our pictures are of our family. The first gutter job I ever did was with my oldest son. He was about 12 years old and we were off on an adventure of figuring this trade out. I still remember getting to the jobsite on that very first day. We walked around the house about 10 times coming up with a plan of attack. We got all of our new tools out. We loaded the coil on the machine, gave each other a head nod, and hit the power button. The old blue machine started pulling the white coil in through the rollers. We could hear it hitting each roller and imagine it bending and forming into a K-style gutter…. Just as I could tell it was about to poke out the other side, all I heard was a crunch, then another crunch… it had jammed on its way out of the end of the machine. It turned our beautiful gutter into a ball of aluminum. We learned a good lesson that day that I think about almost every day I am doing a gutter job… Don’t leave the guillotine handle in the down position. Thankfully our gutter installation Meridian ID team doesn’t make that rookie mistake anymore and we have all learned from our mishap.
Another family picture you may see is of my beautiful wife and daughter. My wife Mel has been on plenty of ladders holding up and helping me install a gutter. You will never hear her complain. She loves being out in the sun. She will often show up at the gutter installation Meridian ID jobs to bring the crew coffee or treats. And if I am there, I get a hug and a kiss. We have been married for almost 22 years, I am a blessed man.
Even my teenage daughter has helped us install gutters. Although most of her work with Dad has been doing estimates. From about the time she was 9 years old, she has been driving around with me as I do bids. She will often write out the bids or material lists as I am driving. Of course we seem to always find ourselves taking a quick break for lunch or an ice cream.
Family is very important to the gutter installation Meridian ID team. Our team actually is pretty much like family. We laugh together, we cry together (if we actually ever cried), we work together and we play together. All of our team actually really enjoy motorcycles. Me, Scott and Bob are motocrossers. Jason and Dame are street bike guys. Idaho Seamless Gutter actually sponsored our gutter installation Meridian ID motocross team. You can find us having fun at the track in our green Idaho Seamless Gutter jerseys. Just on the practice days for me and Bob, but Scott competes in actual races. He is a very talented rider.
You will also see some pictures here of our family Christmas dinners. It is a tradition of ours to do an Idaho Seamless Gutter family Christmas dinner. In the past we have done go-kart riding or an escape room adventure as well. All of our families get along great and it is sure fun getting them all together.
All of these pictures are fun, but we also use pictures in a very practical way. When I am doing an estimate I will often take pictures from up on the ladder or roof of any trouble spots. Since most homeowners aren’t hanging out up there that often, they might not have ever seen what I show them. It really helps them understand the problem and how we plan to solve it. Also we send our clients pictures of their home that are all marked up where the gutters and downspouts will be placed. This also helps our team stay on the same page when they are heading out to the jobsite.
Our gutter installation Meridian ID team will continue to update our gallery, so feel free to come back and visit anytime.
